Overview.

 

Lean focuses on eliminating waste and building process capability. Our Lean Practitioner training is designed to provide a thorough knowledge base in the Lean Operations methodology.

During the course, participants will learn how to apply the essential Lean principles, methods and tools in the practical application - with either an integrated simulation or a real business problem.

The most important subjects which will be covered are: Lean Action Workout, the 8 types of waste, client value, Value Stream Mapping, Flow, Pull, 5S, Error Proofing and Visual Management.

After completing this course, participants will constantly recognise opportunities for continuous improvement in your workplace.

PDU Credits.

21 PDUs ^

If you hold PMI’s Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) or Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) certification, you are required to earn 60 PDUs in a 3-year cycle.

Certification.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Lean Practitioner Certification is provided through our partnership with the Australian Society for Quality (RTO ID 22526). Certification is awarded to participants who successfully complete:

  1. Coursework

  2. AuSQ Lean Practitioner knowledge assessment

  3. A workplace improvement project or a Lean Action Workout event

WORKPLACE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

The workplace improvement project or Lean Action Workout event should demonstrate application of appropriate tools at Lean Leader level to achieve business benefits.

Typical project scope includes: removal of waste, reduction of defects, improvement timeliness or achieving business performance goals or KPIs.
