Overview.

 

Black Belt training covers advanced Lean Six Sigma tools and skills required to solve challenging performance problems in both transactional and industrial environments.

This program draws on both quantitative and qualitative methods. Practical exercises & simulations are incorporated to provide relevant scenarios for participants. Participant will gain competency in the use of Minitab™ statistical software to solve a wide variety of difficult problems across a wide spectrum of industries.

We also offer a 5-day fast track Black Belt program reduces the emphasis on advanced statistical tools that are less relevant to transactional processes.

Additionally, this course prepares Black Belts for their role as change agents in leading and coaching Green Belts and other project resources, facilitating and leading projects, supporting broader operational excellence efforts and serving as internal and external consultants.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Gain an advanced knowledge base of the Six Sigma DMAIC 15-step process including DMAIC for new product/service implementation

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the Lean concepts and tools and how to practically apply them in facilitating a Lean Action Workout

  • Apply advanced statistical analyses to determine the relationship between inputs and process outputs.

  • Gain a strong understanding of Change Management principles and the skills to engage and lead key stakeholders

Curriculum.

The duration of this course is spread out over two months in two four-day sessions, allowing time to immediately apply the learning from the first session to the Black Belt projects rolling. We have built in time in our program to allow our facilitator work through the Define & Measure phase of the participant projects. This will help ensure the participants scope & prepare their projects for success.
